It would be better if the cars were supplied with a full tank of fuel, then returning them with the same full tank would be easier than trying to guess how much fuel to add to return in the approximate levels ...

It would be better if the cars were supplied with a full tank of fuel, then returning them with the same full tank would be easier than trying to guess how much fuel to add to return in the approximate levels they are supplied in, such as half or a quarter of a tank.
